The inaugural Global GNH Forum at Dungkar Dzong in Pangbisa, Paro, marked a significant leap in GNHCB’s efforts to internationalise its development philosophy through the official launch of the Global GNH Forum website. The digital platform was unveiled by Her Royal Highness Ashi Kesang Chodren Wangchuck, President of the GNH Centre Bhutan (GNHCB) and Patron of the Forum, serving as a landmark milestone in transitioning Gross National Happiness (GNH) from a national vision to a global digital movement.

Launched in commeration with the 70th Birth Anniversary of His Majesty the Fourth King Jigme Singye Wangchuck, the website serves as the principal digital gateway for all matters related to the Forum. In HRH's address, Her Royal Highness emphasised that the site is designed to move the discourse from “awareness to action”, providing a permanent home for the ideas generated during this high-level international gathering.

As the official digital hub, the platform (globalgnhforum.org) is engineered to foster solidarity in the face of modern social, environmental, and spiritual challenges. It functions as:

Serving as the central site for research, policy frameworks, and case studies that demonstrate GNH in practice. Creating a space for thinkers, leaders, and changemakers to reimagine development beyond the traditional metrics of GDP. Facilitating ongoing dialogue and cross-sector collaborations that prioritise human and planetary wellbeing.

Rooted in the mission of the GNH Centre Bhutan, the website embodies the vision of a world where happiness and sustainability are at the heart of human progress. It offers a platform for “co-creation”, inviting the international community and national leaders and scholars to participate in a new global narrative, one where happiness is not a mere by-product of material growth but the fundamental purpose of governance and business.
