Beginning in 2026, the United Nations Bhutan and the Gross National Happiness Centre Bhutan will partner to advance youth wellbeing and other initiatives to promote collaboration and joint action. 

The two organizations held a meeting with UNDP Bhutan's Deputy Resident Representative, Mr. Fadhil Bakeer Markar, laying the groundwork for long-term cooperation. United by a shared vision, both teams aligned on key activities for 2026, including International Youth Day and the Global GNH Forum. 

Mr. Markar, who assumed his role in September 2025, is a seasoned development practitioner and public policy specialist with deep expertise in digital transformation, youth engagement, social innovation, and strategic communications. The GNHCB is honored to have his wisdom and expertise to co-design the initiatives. 

This partnership marks a significant milestone for GNHCB and will be further formalized through an agreement, reinforcing its institutional visibility and commitment.
